Oscillon Riff 2

Ben F. Laposky was by some counts the inventor of the first CGI art. A sign painter by trade he semi-retired to tinkerer following an injury in WWII. He produced a series of photos he titled "Oscillon" in the 40s and 50s that used oscilloscopes and colored gels to create mesmerizing abstractions. Basically forgotten in his own time he was rediscovered in the 80s when his incomplete works were toured around as part of SIGGRAPH ( the international Association for Computing Machinery's Special Interest Group on Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques ).

I used some of his images as image prompts in Midjourney.
